Cucumber Festival Trap Shoot
Cucumber Festival Trap Shoot Guidelines General ● There is no admission fee to watch the shoot. ● Observers are restricted to the designated seating area. ● No alcoholic beverages may be bought to the facility or consumed during the shoot by shooters or observers. ● Water and soft drinks will be available for purchase Participants ● All participants must: ● review the range rules ● sign the waiver form prior to participation ● wear appropriate eye and hearing protection. ● Shoot participants are not allowed to have consumed alcohol or other recreational drugs prior to the shoot. A shooter will be immediately disqualified and their registration cancelled and the registration fee refunded if the range supervisors believe that they are under the influence of any of these substances. ● Participants 12-15 years old must: ● Have Hunter safety certification ● have the parent/guardian in attendance. ● Pre-shoot training and coaching will be available free of charge if necessary or requested. ● The NWRGC has several 12- and 20-gauge guns available for use for those that have never tried trap shooting before. For shooters using range guns, trap shotshell loads may be purchased on site for $10/box of 25 shells (1 round). ● Experienced shooters are asked to bring their own gun and ammunition, 50 rounds+. 12-, 16- 20-, 28- or 410- gauges are allowed but will shoot together. ● Shot sizes must be 7.5 or smaller. ● Shooters are responsible for safe keeping of their own guns when not shooting or in locked vehicle. ● Orange clay targets will be used.

Come join us at the Northwest Rod and Gun Club (NWRGC ) for a 50 clay target shoot on Sunday, at the NWRGC shooting complex in Boyceville.
Everyone 12 and older, and all skill levels are welcome to shoot 2 consecutive rounds of 25 clay targets from two different trap houses. Participants 12-15 years old and require written parent/guardian permission to participate, must have completed Hunters Safety and the parent/guardian must be in attendance.
An entry fee of $20 per 50 clay targets (2 rounds of 25 clays) is due prior to starting your first round of shooting. The NWRGC has several 12- and 20-gauge guns available for use for those that have never tried trap shooting before. Shotshells for these guns maybe purchased on-site for $10/box of 25 shells. Experienced shooters are asked to bring their own gun and ammunition 7 ½ or smaller shot. Eye and hearing protection are required.
All safety rules and regulations of the NWRGC must be strictly adhered to! Range safety rules will be available and must be reviewed prior to starting your shoot. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and or eviction from the property.
Guns must always be unloaded with the chamber visually open until it’s your time to shoot. For first time participants we will have trained, experienced educators available to teach you. A complete list of range rules and safety requirement will be provided prior to the start of the event. Early registration is available. It is encouraged because it will allow us to better prepare for your enjoyment and schedule expected shooting times. Walk-on registrations will be accepted until all the available entries are filled from 11:00 am till close of shoot at 3:00pm. You are able to sign up additional rounds if time permits.
A raffle will be held in conjunction with the shoot. Tickets will be available for purchase by participants and nonparticipants during the shoot. The winning ticket will be drawn and announced immediately after the shoot is finished. You do not need to be present to win. Depending on number of entrants, prizes may be awarded.
All proceeds from this event will be used towards building a new clubhouse and enhancing our physical facilities, providing shooting sports educational opportunities for all shooting enthusiasts, and most importantly to provide youth shooting sports educational and safe shooting opportunities. In support of this goal, the NWRGC provides scholarships to local schools and supports Boyceville in the Menomonie School Trap Shooting competition.
The NWRGC is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to encouraging safe and enjoyable participation in the shooting sports.
