A couple of neat things. Have been happening this month. That I wanted to share. With everyone.
January 17th on a freezing winter night at the Boyceville shooting range we had our first ever “cosmic trap shoot”. This Involved shooting trap at night in the dark with the only light coming from a Black light which illuminates the clay bird. Kevin Lannon, a club officer, assembled a team of members and friends, produced the idea, bought the equipment, did a trial run and had its successful debut last weekend. NWRGC is a member driven club that’s open to all free of charge our operating budget comes from membership fees, donations and club fund raising events.
This fund-raising events first Night drew over 70 participants. As well as a good crowd of Spectators. Participant and spectators stayed warm huddled around two campfires and a warm club house. The event started at dark and ended at about 10:00 PM. A delicious meal of Chili with all the fixings, desert and beverages were available for purchase. A good time for all and a good mix of shooters from young to old, course the “kids” were some of the top shooters.
This fund-raising event will take place once a month for the next two months. February 21st and March__ ( date yet to be determined). For those of you who attended the first one hope to see you at the next ones and be sure to bring some friends, for those who have yet to try cosmic clays we’ll see you February 21st  Its a Hoot!
Its always difficult with thank you’s because you always miss some one, so my apologies.
The Club would like to thank Kevin and his team for getting this going, all the club members for their volunteer help, the food crew, the fire pit and wood donation crew, the Boyceville public work crew for plowing and sanding the road and parking lot to keep us safe and especially the Participants and Spectators. SEE YOU ALL AGAIN NEXT MONTH.
Our meeting last month. Consisted of a short meeting. Training on first aid for the shooting range as well as potential hunting injuries in the field . Areas covered including first aide for injuries,  broken bones and for wound care. Desire Laursen From Boyceville Ambulance did the training. 14 Participants. The training was very informative and made us realize that we should update our first aide kits at the range.
Next meeting February 2nd .  Any agenda items you may have contact Jeff
On Saturday January 17th NWRGC had their first ever “cosmic trap shoot” club fund raiser.
Even thou the temperatures We’re in the single digits, with a 15-mile hour wind. We had a great turn out with over 75 shooters and good group of Spectators.
Top two shooters were: Lane Unrue with 23 out of 25.
Grayson Anderson 22 out of 25.

We also had a side game with an entry fee of $5 . If you hit a random green bird, your name went into a drawing for 50/50 split of the pot. However, if you missed the green bird. You needed to deposit an added $5.

congratulations to: Jasen Herdahl

PS. Jasen donated $100 of his winnings back to the club to buy an additional Blacklight.
Thanks Jasen, very appreciated!
