Join your fellow hunters in a friendly deer herd conservation competition, protect our hunting heritage and pass along the tradition to our future hunters. Extra proceeds will support the maintenance of our public gun range.

Competition information:

• When: December 24^th to end of legal shooting hours on December 27^th, 2025.
• Entry Fee:
• $75/team
• $50/team with a youth (17 or younger) or first year hunter
• Teams must be entered and paid for prior to December 23^rd, 2025.
• Register your team @ nwrgc.org/holidayhunt

• Rules:

• 3 person teams
• Every team member may weigh one legally harvested antlerless deer.
• Every team member may submit one additional antlerless deer and be awarded 15lbs to the team total.
• Weigh-in at NWRGC on Saturday December 27^th from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
• Teams with the most total weight win 40% of entry fees collected.
• Heaviest antlerless deer wins 10% of entry fees collected.
• Lightest antlerless deer win 10% of entry fees collected.
• In the case of a tie cash award will be split equally.
• All deer submitted for weight must be fully field dressed and legally registered.

Youth/First time hunters will be entered to win door prizes.

To stay warm fire pits will be waiting for you to share the stories of your hunt. Venison chili and BBQ sandwiches will be available for free will offering during the weigh-in.

***Help us feed our neighbors! Any deer harvested can be donated at the weigh-in and all processed venison will be distributed to our local food pantries through Stepping Stones of Dunn County. CWD lymph node collection will be available at the NWRGC during the weight in. ***
